With years of fine dining experience, Janice has worked on perfecting her pastry techniques in several Michelin-starred kitchens, including SAGA and One White Street, and pulled culinary inspirations from her travels, having lived in Korea and hosted popups in New York, Hong Kong, and Taipei.
Janice is also the Pastry Chef at Figure Eight, the Southern-seafood inspired restaurant showcasing Chinese-American pantry items, just next door to Cora. On top of running two full-time pastry programs, Janice recently launched Dogwood Cafe, a limited cafe pop-up with inspired items like Salted Duck Yolk Croissants, Bananas Foster HK French Toast, and Black Sesame Sweet Cream Lattes. Dogwood Cafe has gained major social and media attention from top creators and national publications like Eater, @thecarboholic, and @feedyourgirlfriend, resulting in lines out the door and early sell-outs all weekend long.
